About

SalSal decided that she was going to be a writer at the tender age of eight years old, when she met the author Anne Fine. From reading everything that she could get her hands on, to writing ideas on pages of toilet roll, she did everything she could to try and fulfil this dream. All romantic notions of staring out of her window and chewing on her pencil while writing great works of Literature, soon flew out of the window when she became pregnant at just sixteen years old. A few years later and a lot wiser, she decided to go back to college to get the education she always felt was lacking.

Graduating from the University of Lincoln in 2008 with a 2:1 in English, at the same time as being a wife and mother was certainly one of Sal's "ups". Being accepted to do an MA in Creative Writing was another. The thing that Sal is most proud of however, is the support that her friends and family have shown over the last few years as she strived to be the first in the family to go to university.

Writing has without doubt taken over Sal's life and it's not unusual to find her tapping away on her laptop, working on idea or another. Currents projects include a collection of short stories based on the Seven Deadly Sins and an adaptation of Winnie the Pooh.
